Friday Five + Friday Five = Friday Ten?!

Good morning, and welcome to the long weekend and a sunny, sunny Good Friday! Remember how last week was the first Friday of the month, when we normally bring you the Friday Five? And remember how we are ATTACKED by a hacker, and we had to forego posting until we could be sure everything was safe? Good times, right?

Well, since we weren’t able to post last Friday, we thought we would treat you all to a little surprise, and do the Friday Five one week late, and with an added bonus Friday Five. Bonus!

Our first Friday Five comes from Danielle Zavarella. Danielle is a great friend and colleague to Kim and to Willow, who works for Aveda as a representative, helping salons be the best they can be. If you’ve ever met Danielle, you’ll know that she is a lovely, bubbly person, and we are so grateful to her for playing along with our Friday Five shenanigans. So without further delay, here is Danielle’s – albeit late – Friday Five:

One place

Toronto! I am going shopping with some friends on Sunday.

One outfit

Anything black that’s comfortable.  I love black, I wear it everyday for work and tend to carry it into my weekend wardrobe.

One song

Talk Too Much by Coin. It’s catchy and fun.

One product

Aveda’s NEW thermal dry conditioner, it makes my hair feel refreshed, soft and smells so good. It pairs perfect with my dry shampoo.

One word

Recharge! I have a lot of events coming up for work so I plan to take ‘me time’ this weekend and recharge for my busy schedule ahead.

We love it! Thanks so much, Danielle. We hope you got to recharge last weekend, and maybe even this weekend too. Now dance off into this holiday weekend with Danielle’s pick for her one song!

Now, our second Friday Five comes from Brandon St. Amand, and if you don’t know, now you know that Brandon was the man who saved the blog from the hacking! He is the VP of Digital Development at Kitestring, but to us, he is computer guru, and we wanted to feature him on the blog this weekend, because without him, there would be no blog! So take it away, Brandon!

One place

Going to my in-laws’ house for Easter Sunday in Goderich.
I really cherish my weekends and the time I get to spend with my family, mostly my kids. With all the chaos during the week, it seems like we barely see our kids unless we’re telling them to eat their dinner, telling them to do their homework, telling them to shower…basically, we spend our week nagging at our kids.

One outfit

Jeans, Converse Chucks, and a somewhat respectable shirt. I dress like a grown up during the week, so it’s tough to do it on the weekend!

One song

The Beatles – Hey Jude.

I’ve started taking guitar lessons with my son as a way of spending time with him (it’s tough to get one-on-one time when you have a 10 year old and 7 year old twins!), and we are learning to play this song. Although my rendition still leaves a lot to be desired, it reminds me to make some time for the people in my life that I care about.

One product

Is beer a product? I did mention that I’m going to my in-laws’ right? I’ll need beer.

One word

Family. There’s nothing better. I even make a good effort to completely unplug on weekends, which is tough in this day and age.

Amazing, thanks so much, Brandon! We hope you all have a wonderful Easter long weekend. Enjoy, friends, and enjoy this awesome throwback video for Brandon’s current fave tune. See you Tuesday!
