It’s Tuesday yet again and we hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Did you hit up Buskerfest, here in Dundas? Maybe you were at Field Trip in Toronto? There is never any shortage of things to do around here, that is for sure. And it’s only going to get more difficult to decide how to spend our weekends, as June progresses into July and August. Summer is SHORT around here. Always good to jam as much as absolutely possible into it while we can!
Today we are talking TIPS! It’s not necessarily a new series, although Tuesday Tips DOES have a nice ring to it…hmmmm… It’s just that we haven’t done a how-to for a few weeks, and well, there’s no time like the present!
So, what’ll it be? Well, in this blog post we’re looking to give you tips for thicker hair, and specifically ways to use Aveda’s Thickening Tonic in order to achieve thicker, more luxurious hair. Our pals at the Living Aveda blog have a nice, timely article all about thicker hair entitled Big Ideas: 4 Genius Hair Thickening Tricks to Try Now. And they really are! Genius, that is. Especially since we are – hopefully – getting into some warmer weather over the next few weeks, and it’s probably not a coincidence that these tips work with air-dried hair, blow dryers on low heat, and diffusers. These are the quintessential summer “save power AND reduce all the sweating” kinds of ways to get gorgeous hair, and even though we’re still in the coolish part of June, these ideas will most definitely come into play later on in our summer months.
Aveda.ca, also has a nice little video with another use for thickening tonic – spritz on damp, towel-dried hair, and blow dry with a round brush. This is something many of us do anyway, so maybe just think of adding a little extra oomph, with the fabulous Thickening Tonic!
And speaking of videos, Aveda’s fab YouTube channel has a whole lot of great ideas and ways to use the product, as well as this lovely video that explains the development of Thickening Tonic, and introduces us to the the main ingredient, a fruit that has been used for centuries in India:
Thickening Tonic isn’t exactly new, it’s been available for a couple of years now, but sometimes it’s nice to revisit a product, to change things up a bit, and to reintroduce readers to some of the classics. This is definitely one that will stand the test of time, and gets top marks for versatility, ease of use, and just overall awesomeness.
If you’re looking to increase volume and thickness to your hair, you can’t really go wrong with Thickening Tonic. And remember, think ahead to the heat of summer, and potential ways to beat said heat. Air drying, diffusing and super low heat styling all work beautifully with Thickening Tonic, so you’ll be good to go with luscious locks without the agony of extreme blow-drying!
Thanks, as always, for reading! See you Friday, friends!
