Being In Sync

Have you ever felt like you’re totally, 100% in sync with someone? Or maybe even several someones? It happens to all of us every so often, and when it does, it’s something that can really make us smile in a kind of “Whoa, that’s wild!” sort of way. Intrigued? Here is an explanation for you:

 

We’re always looking for fresh content for the blog; timely information, details about the latest fashions and styles, upcoming Aveda events and new products, etc. If you’re a regular reader of the blog, you’ll know all about that. We like to give you a little taste of as much as possible, keeping you up to date with local goings-on, trends and, as they say, much much more! Blogging is a lot about taking a look around to see what might be relevant at any particular time, thinking about you – our readers – and what you need to know, and turning it into a few hundred words that we hope speak to you.

 

So, getting back to being in total sync… While considering the topic for today’s post, your blogger spent a couple of days turning ideas over, looking for inspiration, scouring the fashion mags and websites. It isn’t that there is too little to talk about, in fact, it’s usually the exact opposite: how do you decide what to blog about in our world that is saturated with information?! It can be a little overwhelming.

 

So with that in mind, ideas took a turn towards stress.

 

There’s no doubt that 2017 has been a stressful year for the world in general, and for many of us as individuals. There is so much going on that is out of our collective control, and while it can be difficult to watch, at the very least we can take charge – or at least really, really try to take charge – of the stressors that affect our daily lives.

 

Sitting down this morning to write this post about stress and ways to eliminate it – even temporarily – your blogger decided first to scroll through Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, you know all the social media platforms that are SO VERY GOOD in helping us avoid doing what we need to do…and one of the first things to pop up was this gorgeous photo from the Willow Salon Instagram account:

 

 

Whoa. Now THAT is being in sync! We are completely separate, yet somehow on the same wavelength. These are the situations that remind us that we’re not all so different after all. Clearly, stress and its potential reduction is on our minds.

 

We’ve talked before about the Stress-Fix line and its ability to take you far, far away from it all. Use the soaking salts in a relaxing bath to help clear your mind, and then follow up with the body lotion or body creme to keep the feeling lasting. Or, as the photo says, use the composition oil in the bath, or diffuse it throughout your home for an overall calming experience.

We know that no amount of aromatherapy can change the world we live in, but it can change our own worlds for a few brief moments of clarity, relaxation, and stress-free thinking.

 

Take time for yourselves this weekend, if you possibly can. It’s crucial to our well-being, and to our mental and physical health. As they say, you can’t pour from an empty cup; ensure your cup is as full as it can be, and then you’ll be able to help others with theirs.

 

And, if you find yourself in sync or on the same wavelength with someone else, make a point of letting them know! It might make their day, just like it’s made ours. Sometimes it’s these little things that can let you know that it’s all going to be ok.
