Good morning and Happy Tuesday!
Your Willow team has been busy on our off days, and we’d like to take this opportunity to fill you in on what we’ve been up to.
First off, let’s go back to Saturday evening, and the Willow team Christmas party. Yes, yes, we are aware that it’s basically mid-January now, but if you’ll recall how busy the salon gets during December, you’ll probably understand why we decided to celebrate after the rush. Having the party pushed out to January allows us to relax and enjoy, and you will be happy to know that we did just that!
For this year’s party, Kim organized a dinner, created especially for us by one of the chefs from The Other Bird. You might know The Other Bird group of restaurants: Rapscallion, The Mule, Two Black Sheep, and now also Hunter & Co. in London. And, if you do know about these places you probably also know how FABULOUS the food is! And fabulous is definitely what we got on Saturday night!
Meagan was kind enough to open her home so that we could doubly relax, and after a glass of bubbly to start, we gathered around her dining room table for an incredible feast that included five – FIVE! – amazing courses. It was downright luxurious, honestly. There might not even be any photographic evidence of our meal, it all disappeared so quickly! But there are the memories of that, plus some good conversation and a lot of laughs, and all that made for a really special night. So huge thanks to Kim from all of us for organizing such a lovely evening of celebration.
And speaking of Kim organizing great things, yesterday was education day at Willow! The team had a visit from Vanessa Bianchi, Director of Colour, and Dylan Sit, Creative Director, both from Civello Salons. This amazing dream team showed us new cut and colour techniques, and you can check out our Instagram page for photos and video of the pair in action, as well as take a look at our models’ before and after pics!
So it really has been an amazing few days for Willow. Work hard, play hard…seems like that’s exactly what we’ve been doing, doesn’t it?! Nothing better.
We hope you’re having a great week too, whatever you’re up to, and we’ll chat again back here on Friday.
