Good morning, friends! Hope you had a great weekend! There was certainly PLENTY to do, and the weather was pretty darned cooperative if you had outdoor activities planned, too.
Today we’re pleased to bring you potential plans for the coming weekend – yes, we realize it’s only Tuesday, but we’re already in a weekend state of mind – because this one is a particularly special one. We are talking Mothers’ Day weekend, friends! And, so you’re not caught unaware and underplanned, we are here to help you organize something perfect for the special Mom/Mum/Ma/Mother in your life.
As always Tourism Hamilton has a primo list of goings on in the #HamOnt area, so be sure to check that out. Lots and lots of Mothers’ Day brunch options in the city, that’s for sure! And who doesn’t love brunch, honestly? (Ok there are probably a few people who don’t, but we’d hazard a guess that the majority are all over the brunch offerings of bacon, eggs, omelettes, waffles, French toast…hungry yet??)
From there you can also head to The Inlet for a LOT of choices, not necessarily specific to Mothers’ Day, but you’re guaranteed to find something of interest to tempt your Mom this weekend. The Inlet is a great resource for planning a day of adventure too if you’re so inclined. Find a place for breakfast (or brunch, of course!) then check out some local shops, events, music, and more. Once you start planning, you realize just how much there is to do in this city, and using something like The Inlet as your guide, you can easily plan all your upcoming weekends, and never do the same things twice – unless you really, really want to, of course!
To Do Canada also has a nice roundup of things to do in Hamilton this coming weekend, and if you’re interested it being further afield, you can check out their links for things to do in other cities around the province and across the country, too.
Hopefully, we’ve hit all the good places to give you ample time and opportunity to plan something special! If you’re a mother yourself, you might want to pass some of these links along to your family – and maybe highlight the ones you’re most interested in! Just sayin’…
And, if you’re someone who is missing their mother on Mothers’ Day weekend, we feel you too, friends. It’s not easy, and all the celebratory images, ads, and events can feel overwhelming. With all that’s going on, we hope you can take some time out for yourself if you need it – a little self-care might be on tap for you – or, if you are able to, we hope you can find a way to make the day as meaningful as you need it to be. Take good care of yourself, there is no right way to experience this holiday, you just need to do what works for you.
Finally, while making your plans for the weekend, think about Aveda and Willow too! We’ve got great gift ideas for your Mom – and for you if you need them! You can also treat Mom to the gift of great hair by booking her a blow-dry or other hair appointments for the future – always nice to have an hour or two of pampering to look forward to. Or, if you’re thinking about giving the gift of Aveda products and you need a little help, don’t hesitate to pop into Willow! We’re always up for helping you find the perfect gift.
As always, thanks for reading and for being here, and we’ll meet you back here on Friday morning. Have a great week, everyone!
