Good Tuesday morning, everyone, and welcome to April! Obviously this is not the entrance to the month most of us wanted – we had such springlike promise last week – but clearly, Mother Nature had plans and did not get our memo about wanting flowers and warmth and sunshine and patio season!
The nice thing about Spring snow – wait, no hear us out – is that it tends to disappear fairly quickly, often as quickly as it arrived. And while as of this writing the snow is still sticking around, by midweek we are looking at double-digit temperatures, which means bye bye white stuff and hello pretty little early flowers!
April also ushers in Earth Month and Willow will be participating in our annual fundraising efforts for the cause! This year we have something special planned for each Saturday all month long, beginning this coming Saturday, April 6th.
From 9 am – 3 pm every Saturday, Willow will be featuring a Braid Bar! What is that, you might be asking? Basically, come into Willow for a 15-minute appointment, and walk out with the braids of your dreams! This is first come first served kind of thing – meaning we are not scheduling appointments for braids – but if you have some time on a Saturday in April, we’d love to give you some super lovely braids!
Each appointment is $5.00 – a bargain! – and all proceeds will go to Water Aid, the organization helping provide clean water and basic hygiene for women and children in Madagascar.
It’s no coincidence that braids are the feature, we’ve been seeing a lot of them popping up on runways and red carpets lately! And, there is definitely something springlike about the simplicity of a pretty braid. Think floppy hats and sundresses, sandals and straw bags. That season is coming, friends. Why not kick it off in style at our Braid Bar?
And, if fab braids weren’t amazing enough, we will also be raffling off an Aveda gift basket valued at $250.00! Now you definitely need to come check us out, right? Right.
Enjoy the week, everyone! We hope to see you soon (maybe Saturday for braids?) and, of course, we’ll chat again on Friday.
